BLVD Markets with Hatch

BLVD_markets_2014_hatch_01Cocktails + delicious food + fashion markets = Winning. Saturday afternoons are the best time to catch up with friends over brunch or conoodle in bed with the kitties. I bet I sound like crazy cat lady, but I love soaking up some sleep over the weekends and catching up on TV episodes on FOX IQ with the fur lovers. I gave that all a miss and decided to put my social wings and headed to the Boulevard Hotel for its last BLVD markets for the season. A few other bloggers were invited so I thoroughly enjoyed sharing some lovely food and beverages with these gorgeous girls. Food wise. I can’t put a bad word in. The entrées were cute and they’re the perfect size for sharing, if you love a good sausage roll— these are top notch! Or if you’re a bit of a food snob, you won’t feel left out with an array of options like; fresh arancini balls, beef capriccio and polenta chips.

After treating our tums to an extraordinary feast, I scouted the markets which were held indoors this time due to the erratic weather. Honestly, I really enjoyed it being indoors— a pleasant change indeed. There were fewer vendors than the previous weeks, but I was thrilled to finally meet the lovely, Katherine Dunmill. She gave me a tour of her beautiful designs and I was mesmerised by her new leather garments. The black leather shorts caught my eye, along with her intricate collar designs that I’d love to style sometime so on.

If you were looking for a last minute Mother’s Day girl, there were creative bouquets of flowers for sale thanks to, Natural Art Flowers by Rebecca Grace. I especially liked the bouquet with the ornamental oranges.

The cherry on top was a selection of mouth-watering cupcakes from Cake by Laura Isabella. I indulged in the salted caramel flavour…it has inspired me to make my own! Why do they have to be so darn delicious? If only I needed those extra calories.

What would you like to see at next season’s BLVD markets?
