To celebrate Annie's birthday, I took her out to have some breakfast at her local hangout. After all the wonderful stories she's told me, I knew that I had to sample it for myself. We ducked in to Double Roasters for coffee and something to satisfy our morning hunger.
The place was warm and inviting with a cute hipster feeling from the unfinished ceiling to the cute little vintage teaspoons---which I loved. I ordered an El Salvador long black, which was quite flat in flavour but I'd love to try the cherry caramel next time.
Zucchini fritters with Crème Fraîche, Smoked ocean trout and a poached egg
Smashed avocado with Dukkah, Goats cheese and fresh SourdoughI fell in love with the presentation of our meals and the taste matched just as much. It is well priced for generous serves that are packed with ultimate flavour, the food is fresh and is made with TLC. I can't wait to come back and try their other dishes, and possible even try out their lunch menu. I couldn't recommend this place enough for the atmosphere and artsy vibe.
