I grew up shopping at Target, Mum would buy me a couple of items for my wardrobe each season. From Pyjamas to underwear, you name it, they were all bought from Target. Over the years their fashion department has been amplified, with collaborations from, Stella McCartney and to the brand new Petites collection by, Dannii Minogue. Ultimately, Target has shifted the look and feel of their garments with closer attention to the designs and trying to align their brand with it’s competition. In line with the show, they even released a limited collection to stores, calling it “runway to rack”.
Samantha Jade opened the runway show with a bang in a sleek and sophisticated LBD, part of Dannii’s Petites collection. The range was extraordinary, ranging from collections from casual, dress and even spring racing. I was pleasantly surprised at the fast-fashion items that were up for sale, and scooted straight inside to take a pick of my own.
I commend Target for using models that were authentic and even showcasing items from the plus-size range, it’s real and relatable and as a result, people will have better self-esteem. As for me, I’m surprised it’s take this long to create a “short girls” collection, being a shorty like me, it’s a real struggle to look hot in pants without getting them altered. Now I don’t have to look too far at all.
Are you impressed with Dannii Minogue’s Petite collection?
