As we head into the new Spring season, fashion stakes are high and the Aussie's are wanting more and more. We've been pretty lucky to see some incredible changes to the #MBFFSydney show over the years but if I took over the festival, it will be chaos! I'd love to tie in the natural elements into the show and encapsulate the outdoor ambience. My chosen venue will be the heart of Darling Harbour, set up a floating stage with demountable walkways extending from the structure. It will be encased with geometric glass walls and be a standalone "fashion piece". There will be several water taxis ferrying guests to the show and the VIPs will be treated to an exclusive pontoon boat, with delicious treats from the likes of Andy Bowdy and Katherine Sabbath.
The models will commence their entrance to the floating stage by getting dropped off by stretched hummers and initiate the night by strutting around the wharf and then being escorted into the show. The designers that will headlining at this show are: Vivienne Westwood, Moschino, Yuki Torii, Zimmerman, Kate Spade, Patchy Cake Eater, Dyspnea, Alice McCall, Ted Baker, Chloe, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Mintdesigns, with a handful of local emerging national designers, like Bruug. It will have a very strong Japanese influence from the art direction and design of the show, to the curation of the collections.
Bloggers and celebs that I'd invite to the show would be people with similar style and flair, much like Gary Pepper, Margaret Zhang (Shine by Three), Zanita, What Would Karl Do, Xssat, Badlands Blog, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Gwen Stefani, Giuliana Rancic, Rachel Zoe, Blake Lively, Victoria Beckham, Ayumi Hamasaki, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and plenty more.
My favourite part is what to wear during such a grand execution of #MBFFSydney, I have compiled a bit of a wish list...do you have any favourites?
