After months of seeing the mouth watering pictures on Zomato, I decided that it's D-Day. On a sunny Saturday, I rocked up to the quaint little takeaway joint just shy of 1.30pm. I scanned the room before being greeted by a dotting "Aloha" by a kind Asian woman at the counter, grabbed a seat and psyched myself for ordering something quite different but hopefully delicious. Hawaiian/Japanese fusion? Not sure where this was going to take me but it was exciting being able to taste something so very different to the mundane. I ordered a Katsu Chicken with tarragon sauce plate, as a recommendation from the reviews while my Mum ordered the Loco Loco chicken katsu with egg and mushroom sauce. When the black angular plates arrived in front of us, we were pleasantly surprised by the unique presentation along with the portion size -- nothing mundane, here. This tiny hole in the wall is completely underrated, the food was impeccably delicious and the price was affordable especially for the portion size. It's now transparent why this is a favourite for the locals and "japanese" lovers, I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
