Gong Xi Fa Cai as we welcome the year of the fire rooster for the new Chinese Lunar Year! There are a number of roosters in my family so it's going to be a very lucky year for all of them. I've always loved the culture and festivities, plus I'll be frank, it's always nice to receive a little Ang Pao (red packet) filled with cash. This year I may not have been lucky enough to receive a special, sealed red packet but I was lucky enough to be thankful for the little things like having my family around, a tight circle of friends that I can count on and plenty of goals locked in for the year ahead.
One of my goals this year is to cleanse the negative and introduce the positive. It might sound cliche but it is always a work in progress in life, it's easy to settle in your ways and to forget to just be grateful. Gratitude = positivity. What personal goals do you want to achieve?
Alrighty, so let's actually detour to what I really want to talk about. The ever-trending mesh dress! I got this gorgeous piece from Zara on a whim during the Boxing Day sales, it was quite amusing because even before I could try it on I was getting ladies approach me asking me where they can find this dress? Lucky for me, it was the last one in the store!
The embroidery detail and relaxing fit make it versatile and comfortable for lounging around a resort but I can also picture wearing this to an evening event or even casually with some high-tops. This mesh dress is all about the embroidery and details, so I kept things monotone with a simple black slip and sleek belt to further highlight the intricacies. The daring slits can be shown off worn over your Summer bikini or even over a leotard body so you can highlight those pins! I've always been more on the conservative side, so risqué is something I'm still getting aquatinted with.
How would you style the mesh dress?
