The Shortlist

It's been ticking away in my head ever since I can remember, I've always been goal driven - the girl with the plan. I've stuck to my life plan longer than I'd like to admit, yet I have always put the fun things I've wanted to do on the back burner. This year as I am closer to the edge of thirty, I want to put my big ticket items, well - first.

One little goal that I've mentally listed out is, before I turn thirty I would visit NYC - yes, I know it's incredible to comprehend that I haven't been to the US....or most of Europe for that matter. Fast-tracking my career meant that travel wasn't really an option but I have no regrets because now I'm able to explore the world through a whole new lens.

NYC - booked.

This year? Yep - you better believe it!

As spontaneous as it sounds I knew that this had to happen, 2018 is looking amazing and you have no idea how excited I am to finally go my next dream destination after seeing my all time favourite, Japan - twice.

The city that doesn't sleep and sparkles all night. Bring on the jazz, street food, shopping and bottomless cosmos because I've never been so ready to delve into the oyster that is New York City.

The other things that have been on this shortlist are:

  1. Eat a degustation with matching wines
  2. Learn how to ice skate
  3. Go to Luna Park in Sydney
  4. Learn how to letterpress (a printing process)
  5. Have my own Art Exhibition
  6. Speak a second language proficiently
  7. Learn how to DJ and mix music tracks
  8. Enhance my photography skills - do more experimental work
  9. Attend New York Fashion Week in front row seats
  10. Own a Nissan GTR
  11. Design my own shoe

I'm sure you're confused that some of these items have made it to the list but I assure you that I haven't done any of the above - they are still goals and I can't wait to tick them off. Do you share any of the same items on your shortlist?
